Here’s a tip
on a term commonly used in the world of DJs. The Orbit Scratch refers to
most any scratch that involves both forwards and a backward movement of
your record hand. However, usually when someone mentions an Orbit Scratch,
they are talking about a combination maneuver technically known as the
Orbit Flare. For example, a one click forward flare and a one click backward
flare done in quick succession creating 4 separate sounds would be called
an Orbit Flare.
