Here’s some tips regarding
playing popular music at a gig. First, familiarize yourself as best you
can with the audience you will be playing for, as best you can. Use your
common sense. If the gig is for Buford and Beulah’s 55th wedding anniversary,
don’t show up with a case filled with Deep House and Dub Reggae. Find the
music appropriate for the audience and use that.
