Beat Juggling. A
technique created by early disc jockeys was that of beat juggling. It took
Grandmaster Flash's idea of mixing and cueing between two different
records and took it one step further by making the two records into a whole
new song. The subsequent addition of scratching and ‘body tricks’ turned
beat juggling into the de rigeur feat of showmanship that it is today.
