DJ EQ Controls

EQ is your equalization, or de facto tone controls. EQs on most dj mixers today will be one of two types, parametric or non-parametric. Here’s how a novice can tell the difference. A non-parametric EQ will have 3 knobs that will filter out or boost certain frequency ranges, e.g. 100Hz, 3Khz, and 11Khz. A parametric EQ will have 4 or more knobs, with two of the knobs dedicated as such: one to select a frequency range, and the other to boost or cut the selected frequency range.
